As part of the Journal of Vascular Surgery (JVS) family, JVS-Vascular Science disseminates research information in areas related to the vascular system with deliberate consideration towards Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in the editorial process.
The editors of this journal take DEI seriously by:
- 1. Constantly evaluating our progress and priorities for DEI, determining where we are and where we are going, to constantly improve and work towards our goals.
- 2. Promoting the scientific work of people from all backgrounds, identities, and experiences collectively and as individuals who contribute to and benefit from our resources.
- 3. Providing support based on the needs of an individual or group to achieve equity in scientific communication.
- 4. Promoting an environment of belonging where people of different backgrounds, experiences, and identities are valued, integrated, and welcomed. We facilitate an environment that allows these differences to thrive.
This statement applies to editors, staff, board, reviewers, scientific contributors, study populations, animal welfare, and all directions of our activity related to JVS-Vascular Science.
